Republican candidates for Alabama attorney general Jay Mitchell and Katherine Robertson continue to post large and competitive fundraising numbers in what’s become one of the biggest races on the 2026 ballot.

Mitchell, the former Alabama Supreme Court associate justice, raised about $210,000 last month and ended October with more than $2 million on hand.

According to Robertson’s monthly campaign finance report for October, her campaign took in more than $201,000 in contributions. Her monthly report showed $1.7 million cash on hand.

And so far for November, Robertson has reported a $150,000 contribution from the Montgomery-based Rule of Law Action Fund, which was registered as a nonprofit entity last week by Saxon Main, an attorney at the defense law firm Ball, Ball, Matthews, and Novak.

Since launching her campaign earlier this year, Robertson, the chief counsel for current Attorney General Steve Marshall, has raised $2.26 million.

Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey raised about $4,800 in October and ended the month with about $597,000 on hand.

Aside from money, the candidates continued in October to collect endorsements, including from local law enforcement officials.

“October has been an incredible month for our campaign,” Mitchell said in a written statement Tuesday night. “Everywhere I go, I meet folks who want an attorney general who is equipped to lead well and win for Alabama.

“Whether it’s law enforcement officers who spend each day in the line of duty, small business owners who power our economy, or families who want safer communities—voters across this state are ready for change. I’m inspired by their trust and support.”

Robertson credited the fundraising success to the growing support of law enforcement, farmers, small businesses and conservatives from around Alabama.

“These contributions are the financial echo of what we’re seeing every day on the ground,” Robertson said in a written statement. “Alabamians are stepping up because they trust that as their attorney general, I’ll aggressively prosecute violent gangs, dismantle criminal drug networks, and work in lockstep with President Trump to secure our borders.”

The primary election is May 19.
