Todd Stacy

Founder, Publisher

Todd Stacy is the founder and publisher of the Alabama Daily News. After a 15-year career in politics, Todd left Washington, D.C. in 2017 to start a news organization that gives readers high-quality coverage of government and politics without political bias or corporate spin. Alabama Daily News has since grown to become the news outlet of choice for the state’s top political and business leaders. Todd's morning "Daily News Digest" newsletter is the "must read" email for Alabama officials and politicos in Montgomery and Washington, D.C. His work has been widely referenced by national news outlets including The New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and The
Washington Post.

Trisha Powell Crain

Senior Education Reporter

Trisha Powell Crain is the senior education reporter for Alabama Daily News and Alabama Public Television. She has more than 20 years of experience reporting on Alabama schools, covering a range of topics from what happens at state board meetings to how kids learn to what the latest round of data says about student outcomes.

Trish believes education is the foundation for a great state and aims to create meaningful dialogue to ensure every Alabamian gets a fair chance to reach his or her potential.

Prior to joining ADN and APT, she spent eight years as the senior education reporter for Alabama Education Lab at Alabama Media Group, known as AL.com.

Her work has appeared in local, state, and national publications, online and in print.

Crain has three adult children and lives in Hoover in the house where she grew up. She graduated with a Master of Public Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in May of 2013.

Alex Angle

Washington Correspondent

Alex Angle is the Washington Correspondent for Alabama Daily News and Alabama Public Television. Based on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., Alex covers the state's congressional delegation and how their actions and votes impact Alabama. A Texas native and graduate of the University School of Journalism, Alex has reporting experience in television and print media, most recently at Roll Call's Fact Base where she reported on the 2024 presidential campaign. Her direct reporting from Capitol Hill will be featured in Alabama Daily News and on APT's Capitol Journal.

Claire Harrison

Government & Politics Reporter

Claire Harrison is the state government and politics reporter for Alabama Daily News. She is based in Montgomery and reports on the State House, state agencies and campaigns. Before joining ADN, Claire wrote for USA Today, Syracuse.com and Ballotpedia. She is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, holding dual degrees in news journalism and political science.
