Lieutenant governor candidate and current Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen has received more than $500,000 for his 2026 bid and has about $480,000 on hand, according to campaign reports filed Wednesday.
Allen, part of a GOP field to replace term-limited Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth, took in more than $100,000 last month.
Rick Pate, the current state agriculture commissioner, received $25,000 from the Porch Band of Creek Indians last month. He received about $27,800 in other contributions in August.
He has about $390,000 on hand, according to the latest filing reports.
Candidate Nicole Wadsworth had about $160,000 on hand at the end of August.
In the GOP contest to be the state’s next agriculture commissioner, Christina Woerner McInnis recently loaned her campaign an additional $275,000.
McInnis and current state Sen. Jack Williams previously each loaned their campaigns $250,000.
Williams had nearly $505,500 on hand at the end of the month; McInnis had $448,000.
Douglas Mayor and farmer Corey Hill has about $122,000 on hand.
