WASHINGTON —A super PAC supporting Jared Hudson for Alabama’s U.S. Senate seat launched a six-figure ad buy this week, hitting the airwaves and digital platforms.
The Alabama Conservatives announced a TV ad buy that will roll out over the next two weeks in the Birmingham and Huntsville markets.
The 15 and 30-second video ads highlight Hudson’s service as a former Navy SEAL combat veteran and call him the “MAGA warrior Alabama needs in the Senate.” The ads also tout Hudson’s support of President Donald Trump. But Trump endorsed Rep. Barry Moore in the Republican primary.
“This investment ensures voters across the state hear directly from Jared—his record, his values, and his commitment to fighting for Alabama,” Paul Shashy, senior advisor for Alabama Conservatives, said in a statement.
The buy also includes a $63,000 investment in statewide digital ads touting the political newcomer.
A super PAC backed by the Club for Growth has also launched ads in support of Moore in the Senate race to fill Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s seat.
Recent polling shows Hudson’s support has grown throughout the campaign. But the Republican primary is shaping up to be a dead-heat race between Hudson, Moore and Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.
The primary is May 19.
