Capitol Journal – April 10, 2026

Did you catch Capitol Journal this week?

It’s our last show of the 2026 legislative session and, fittingly, we wrap up the week and put a bow on this session that most would like to forget.

Jeff Sanders reports on the closed primaries bill and its path to finally dying on the last day.

Randy Scott catches up with several House members to get their “grades” on how the session went.

And Alex Angle checks in from Washington with an update on the Iran situation and what the Alabama delegation say to say, or not say, about it.

House Speaker Nathaniel Ledbetter joins me to look back at the session, including what was accomplished, what was with all the caucus drama and what we can expect next year in the new building.

Senate Minority Leader Bobby Singleton joins me to offer the Democrats’s perspective on the session and a little incide baseball on how his caucus plays defense.
