Five Alabama companies listed in Newsweek’s most trusted for 2026

Five Alabama companies are listed among the most trusted American brands by Newsweek alongside the data analytics firm Statista.

Companies were ranked by category according to surveys conducted among customers, employees and investors.

The highest ranking Alabama company in its field was Dothan-based Construction Partners, coming in at No. 4 among construction firms nationally.

Birmingham-based Alabama Power ranked No. 8 nationally among energy and utility companies nationwide.

AMN Healthcare, also based in Birmingham, ranked 34th in the health care and life science field.

Birmingham also had two retail companies rank among the nation’s most trusted: Hibbett Sporting Goods at No. 53 and QVC at No. 55.

According to Newsweek, the rankings “were determined through an independent survey of 25,000 U.S. respondents, resulting in over 100,000 evaluations that reflected the perspectives of consumers, employees and investors.”

“In an era defined by a profound crisis of grievance, a corporation’s integrity is no longer a marketing luxury—it is its most volatile and valuable currency. True leadership requires more than just high-level strategies; it demands a radical, lived transparency that bridges the chasm between executive perception and the lived reality of the consumer,” Jennifer Cunningham, Editor-in-Chief of Newsweek, wrote.
