Randy Scott is in the host’s chair and talked to Dr. Amanda Williams, president f the Medical Association of the State of Alabama about the state’s physician shortage and the burden it puts on the care system. Dr. Brittney Anderson, vice speaker of the association, also discussed that shortage, especially in rural areas and access to care.
Ebony Evans of Health Services, Inc. discussed its mission to provide primary care in its six-county service area in central Alabama.
And State Sen. Robert Stewart, D-Selma, discusses the legislative session that starts Feb. 4 and some of the issues he’s working on, including helping more Alabamians prepare for retirement.
