Auburn and Alabama enter a critical SEC basketball week as top 15 teams, with both facing the No. 4 Tennessee Vols.
Auburn moved up three spots to No. 11 after its 21-point road win at Georgia. Alabama dropped a spot to No. 14 after losing by 20 to Kentucky in Rupp Arena.
Both teams face tough stretches with only a handful games left in the regular season.
Tennessee pushed to its highest ranking of the season Monday at No. 4. The Volunteers will be tested this week to stay there. The Vols first host No. 11 Auburn on Wednesday then visit No. 14 Alabama on Saturday.
That represents two of the three matchups of ranked teams in the Southeastern Conference, which had a national-best six teams in the poll. The other is No. 24 Florida’s visit to No. 18 South Carolina on Saturday.
