Twinkle Cavanaugh first on the air in Lt. Governor’s race

By TODD STACY, Alabama Daily News

In the race for Alabama Lt. Governor, Public Service Commission President Twinkle Cavanaugh is the first to go up on television with a campaign ad targeting Republican voters.

The ad connects Cavanaugh dual roles as a mother and as a public servant. Driving her children to school is spent as “special” family time in prayer, and she also turned down the use of a state vehicle at the Public Service Commission.

“I refused a state car when I took over the Public Service Commission, downsized my personal office, cut spending and returned millions to taxpayers,” she says. “Everyone talks about cutting spending; I’ve done it.”

This ad begins airing today in all media markets statewide. The buy is expected to keep this ad or others on the air until June 5.
