In the race for Alabama Lt. Governor, Public Service Commission President Twinkle Cavanaugh is the first to go up on television with a campaign ad targeting Republican voters.
The ad connects Cavanaugh dual roles as a mother and as a public servant. Driving her children to school is spent as “special” family time in prayer, and she also turned down the use of a state vehicle at the Public Service Commission.
“I refused a state car when I took over the Public Service Commission, downsized my personal office, cut spending and returned millions to taxpayers,” she says. “Everyone talks about cutting spending; I’ve done it.”
