Republican U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville raised more than $1.1 million in November, bringing the total in his bid for Alabama governor to more than $8.8 million, according to the latest campaign finance reports filed Tuesday.
Democrat Doug Jones, the newest entry into next year’s gubernatorial contest, raised more than $105,000.
Tuberville, the GOP frontrunner in an almost deserted primary field, took in 12 major contributions totaling $600,000. Smaller contributions totaled more than $547,000.
Tuberville’s campaign spent $584,000, including $72,000 with Virginia-based polling firm Cygnal and more than $25,000 with policy firm The Advocacy Group in Alexandria, Va. It has spent $2.1 million since the launch of his campaign.
Democrat and former U.S. Senator Doug Jones reported raising $105,461 after officially jumping into the race for governor last week. All of Jones’ itemized contributions, totaling about $58,000, were from individuals, the largest being $2,500. Jones’ campaign also reported $47,400 in non-itemized cash contributions.

It did not report any expenses.
Candidates will qualify for the 2026 contests next month. Others who have raised money are Republican Ken McFeeters and Democrats Will Boyd and Chad “Chig” Martin.”
The primaries are May 19.
