Steve Marshall had a good Monday

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall had a pretty good Monday.

Marshall posted an impressive $374,000 raised in the month of March. He now has $795,000 cash on hand with two months to go until the June primary.

Marshall also received the endorsement of the Business Council of Alabama’s Progress PAC – a coveted nod to say the least.

The ProgressPAC board of directors said its endorsement of Marshall was due to “his character and his support of issues that are important to Alabama’s business community.”

Progress PAC Chairman Mike Kemp, who is CEO of Kemp Management Solutions LLC in Birmingham, said of Marshall:

“Attorney General Steve Marshall’s commitment to the rule of law, putting violent criminals in jail and working to put an end to the opioid crisis made our endorsement an easy decision. His willingness to fight federal overreach makes him a tremendous asset to Alabama’s vibrant business community.”

Clearly proud of their numbers and wanting to make a splash, Marshall’s team got their fundraising report out early Monday. The other candidates – Alice Martin, Troy King and Chess Bedsole – should report on the regular timeline, so there should be more information about their fundraising numbers within 24 hours.
