WASHINGTON — U.S. Rep. Barry Moore is hitting the airwaves with a new ad in three Alabama markets in his bid for Alabama’s open U.S. Senate seat.
On Wednesday, Moore’s campaign announced a new six-figure ad buy. The ad titled “Shoot You Straight” features Moore with a shotgun and highlights his record on numerous conservative issues, including gun rights. The 30-second ad will run in the Montgomery, Birmingham and Huntsville markets.
In the campaign ad, the Enterprise congressman and Republican Senate hopeful describes his “targets.”
“No tax increases, ever. 100% Pro-Life. A+ rated by the NRA. Deport all illegal aliens. And no woke crap in our schools,” Moore said.
For the Republican nomination to succeed U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville, Moore is up against Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall, former Navy SEAL Jared Hudson, Seth Burton, Dale Shelton Deas Jr. and Rodney Walker.
President Donald Trump endorsed Moore earlier this year, which he touts in the ad.
The latest campaign finance reports show Moore leads the way in fundraising among GOP candidates.
Recent polling shows the Senate race will be a tight three-way battle between Moore, Marshall and Hudson.
The primary is May 19. The last day to register to vote is May 4.
