The Alabama GOP’s signature annual fundraising event, this year’s Summer Dinner will be held at the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel and Convention Center, with tickets going for $250 a person, or $400 for two.
Last year’s summer dinner was headlined by Trump and was the most successful Alabama GOP fundraiser in the organization’s history, generating $1.2 million from the about 2,700 people in attendance.
The upcoming dinner will include a reception, dinner, and remarks from other, yet-to-be-announced special guests.
Lara Trump had helped lead the RNC as its co-chair since March of this year, being elected by a unanimous vote after receiving an endorsement from her father-in-law. She’s been married to Eric Trump, Donald Trump’s third child, since 2014, and has remained a leading figure in conservative spaces.
“This event will be an excellent opportunity for our state to hear directly from one of the leading voices in our party as we prepare for critical elections at both the state and national levels,” Wahl said.
