Kayla Bass promoted at ALM

Kayla Bass is the new deputy director of the Alabama League of Municipalities.

Bass has worked for the league, which represents and lobbies for more than 450 municipalities, since 2017. Her most recent role was director of external affairs.

“Since joining the league in 2017 Kayla has demonstrated an incredible work ethic and has remained committed to delivering intentional resources that directly enhance the quality-of-life in Alabama’s 464 municipalities,” Greg Cochran, the league’s executive director, said in a written statement. “I am confident that in her new role she will continue to provide exceptional leadership and guidance to the League’s members.”

Bass is now responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the league’s advocacy, communications, member services, and information technology departments.

She will continue to provide direct lobbying support while the Legislature is in session and will continue to oversee the league’s strategic partnership and membership engagement programs.

Bass is originally from New Brockton.
